Booking & Payments
1. How can I book a stay at The Copper Edge?
You can book directly through our website, by calling our reservations team, or through authorised travel agents and online platforms (OTAs). Direct bookings are always recommended, as they often come with special offers, better cancellation policies, and personalised support from our team.
2. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept UPI, net banking, debit and credit cards, as well as cash payments at the property. For advance bookings, digital payment methods are preferred to ensure quick confirmation.
3. Do I need to pay in advance to confirm my booking?
Yes. A booking is confirmed only after receiving an advance payment. Without an advance, your reservation will remain tentative and may be released if other confirmed bookings come in for the same dates.
4. Do you provide GST invoices?
Yes, we provide GST invoices for all bookings. Please share your GST details at the time of booking to ensure they are included in your invoice.
5. Can I modify my booking dates after confirmation?
Yes, date changes are possible, but they depend on availability. If the new dates fall under a higher tariff or peak season, additional charges may apply. If you request a change very close to your arrival date, our cancellation policy may also apply.
Check-in & Stay Policies
1. What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in time is 1:00 PM, and check-out time is 11:00 AM. This allows our housekeeping team enough time to prepare the cottages thoroughly for the next guests.
2. Do you allow early check-in or late check-out?
Yes, we try to accommodate requests, but it depends on availability. Early check-in or late check-out may incur additional charges. It’s best to inform us in advance if you expect to
arrive early or leave late.
3. Do you require ID proof at check-in?
Yes. All guests above 18 years must present a valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhar, Passport, Driving License, or Voter ID). This is a mandatory rule under Indian law for guest
verification.
4. Are outside guests allowed during the stay?
For the safety and privacy of our in-house guests, only registered guests are allowed inside the cottages. Visitors may be permitted in common areas such as the dining space or
garden with prior approval from the management.
5. Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cottages. Designated outdoor areas are available for guests who smoke.
Cancellation & Refund
1. What is your cancellation policy?
● Cancellations within 15 days of check-in will attract a 25% charge.
● Cancellations within 7 days of check-in will attract a 50% charge.
● Cancellations within 2 days of check-in or no-shows will be charged 100% of the
booking amount.
Note: Any request to prepone or postpone a booking will incur a 25% charge of the
total booking amount.
2. How long do refunds take?
Once your cancellation is approved, the refund will be initiated to your original payment method within 7–10 working days. The exact time depends on your bank/payment gateway
Children & Extra Guests
1. What are the child policies?
● Children below 5 years can stay for free (up to 2 kids per cottage).
● If more than 2 children below 5 years are staying, an additional charge of ₹1500 + GST per child applies.
● Children between 6–11 years are charged 50% of the adult tariff.
● Children aged 12 and above are considered adults and charged at full tariff.
2. Do you provide extra beds?
Yes, we provide extra beds or mattresses on request. Charges apply, and they must be confirmed at the time of booking so we can make arrangements in advance.
3. Do you have family-friendly cottages?
Yes. Our Premium, Luxury, and Ultimate cottages are spacious and ideal for families. These cottages can comfortably accommodate couples with children or small groups.
Rooms & Facilities
1. What types of cottages do you offer?
Yes! We have multiple categories of rooms to suit every kind of traveller. Please visit our Stay page for more details.
2. Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available in common areas. Since the resort is inside a coffee estate surrounded by nature, network strength may vary, encouraging you to disconnect and enjoy the natural setting.
3. Do you have air conditioning?
Yes, all our cottages and villas are fully air-conditioned for your comfort.
3. Is hot water available?
Yes, all cottages have hot water available throughout the day.
4. Do rooms have TVs?
Yes, all our cottages across every category are equipped with televisions. While we encourage guests to step outside, explore the estate, and enjoy nature, we also understand that some downtime with entertainment is important.
Food & Dining
1. Is breakfast included in the tariff?
Yes. All stays include a complimentary breakfast with a mix of Indian and continental options.
2. What kind of food do you serve?
We serve multi-cuisine meals, including North Indian, South Indian, continental, and authentic Coorg specialities prepared with fresh local ingredients.
3. Do you offer room service?
Meals are served in our dining area. Room service is limited, as we want to maintain food quality and freshness. Room service charges will be applicable.
4. Do you provide options for vegetarians?
Yes. We have dedicated vegetarian options across all meals.
5. Do you serve alcohol?
We do not serve alcohol. However, guests are welcome to bring their own, within permissible limits.
Activities & Experiences
1. What activities are available at the resort?
Guests can enjoy coffee estate walks, nature trails, bonfires, and indoor/outdoor games. These activities are designed to help you relax and connect with nature.
2. Do you organise sightseeing tours?
Yes. On request, we can arrange local sightseeing tours covering Abbey Falls, Raja’s Seat, Dubare Elephant Camp, Namdroling Monastery, and other attractions.
3. Do you provide adventure activities?
Yes, trekking, plantation tours, and guided local experiences can be arranged with prior notice. Charges may apply depending on the activity.
4. Do you have a swimming pool?
Yes, we have a common swimming pool accessible to all guests at the resort. In addition, our Ultimate Cottages come with private pools, which are exclusively for the guests staying
in those cottages.
4. Can you arrange corporate/team-building activities?
Yes. We organise corporate off-sites, team-building activities, and group events. Packages can be customised based on your team’s needs.
Transport & Location
1. Where is the resort located?
The Copper Edge is located inside a private coffee estate in Coorg, Karnataka. Detailed directions and navigation support are shared after booking to ensure a smooth journey.
2. Do you provide pick-up and drop-off services?
Yes, we can arrange pick-up and drop services from airports or railway stations at an additional cost. Advance booking is required.
3. Is parking available?
Yes, free and secure parking is available inside the property.
4. Is the resort accessible by public transport?
Public transport options to Coorg are limited. We recommend travelling by private car or taxi for convenience.
Others
1. Do you allow pets?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at the resort. This policy helps us maintain hygiene and comfort for all guests.
2. Do you have a power backup?
Yes. We have power backup to ensure uninterrupted basic services like lighting, fans, and hot water.
3. Do you provide laundry service?
Yes. Laundry service is available on request at additional charges.
4. Do you have event spaces?
Yes. We host private events like birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings, and weddings. Custom decor and arrangements can be made.
5. Do you offer travel agent/corporate tie-ups?
Yes. We work with travel agents and corporate clients with dedicated policies and special tariffs. Interested partners can contact our sales team.
